Her Captioning Skills Are Excellent
As a severely hard of hearing person, I am dependent upon Real-time Captioning to understand what is being said in anything more than small groups.
I have known Ms. Elizabeth Archer in her capacity as a Real-time Captioner for close to 20 years now. She has been the Captioner at numerous events and meetings I have attended. I can attest to her Captioning skills as being excellent. In addition, her appearance and behavior have always been very professional.
The newest technological “gizmo” in this field seems to be remote Real-time Captioning, which I know Elizabeth has added to her arsenal. With this technology, a Captioner does not even need to be present to do her job. A microphone picks up the conversation in the room which is then transmitted to the Captioner, who will then phonetically type what was said and transmit the type words back to the meeting site; these words are then displayed upon a computer monitor or a screen – all of this occurs essentially at the same speed and accuracy as if the Captioner were in the same room as the meeting participants.
I can and do highly recommend Ms. Archer as a Real-time Captioner.

Elizabeth is My Captioner of Choice
I have known Elizabeth Archer for more than 5 years.
I have recommended her to others and recently hired her to caption an all-day professional conference (DMEC, October, 2010). Elizabeth is an impeccable professional who provides outstanding quality work.
While there was no request for accommodation at the conference, I knew that the acoustics in the room were less than ideal and that the audience would benefit from being better able to understand the presenters. It was no surprise that people came up to her during the breaks and at the end to share their appreciation for her exceptional skills. The audience was truly captivated by Elizabeth's presence at the conference.
Elizabeth is my captioner of choice. She's excellent at what she does and is fair with her fees. I highly recommend Elizabeth for any captioning need.
